If you could write like one fiction author, who would it be?

Thomas Harris fo sho.
Took my neighbor and his little Japanese Spitz to the vet today, poor thing had been sick. Did a couple x-rays, found she had a tumor the size of a large orange in her intestines. Poor girl had to be put to sleep.
Bad start to the day.
Just launched qubyte.us, a quantum computing blog. Check frequently for new news, updates, and company spotlights.
So I've spent the past few days tossing ideas around in my head for where I see my various sites headed. I think in a few weeks time it will look something like this:
Leahey.org: Personal productivity/self improvement site, as its been. More updates, as I have more time to spend on it.
Techquestions.info: Re-designed, but the same format. Q&A, I'm thinking of having the "ASK A QUESTION" portion being much more prominent. As in, huge, and a big textbox at the top of the main page.
Hostin.org: Again, what it is, but revamped and redesigned. I want the wiki.hostin.org page to get some activity, so I may have to see what I can do about getting a few Web Hosting Companies to embrace the idea in exchange for some free advertising.
Photographing.mobi: New site, covering cameraphones, initially links to reviews on other sites, hopefully at some point reviews written by yours truly.
Qubyte.us: New site, repository for information on all this quantum computing loveliness.
PersonalHighFinance.com: Just what it is, but again, updated more frequently.
I'm thinking to maintain any kind of real pace to the pages, I'm going to have to update each and every one at least once every 2 days. That's 6 posts a day, averaging about 4 paragraphs a post. I think it's doable. Finding something to talk about, however, will be the hard part.

What's the best way to get on your good side?
Submitted by Manon-It-All.
I have no good side! Ha. ha. ha. ha. ha.
Since Studio 60 has been pulled, I've been perusing the cable channels for something decent to watch. I had heard about Man vs. Wild before, and being a fan of the similar-themed Survivorman, decided to watch.
Well...woaa...
Man vs. Wild is what television was meant to be. A guy jumping out of airplanes, off cliffs, sliding down mountains and running from grizzlies. I have a sneaking suspicion something bad is going to happen to this guy soon, but while it lasts, its a great show.
If you don't trust me that its great, trust Wikipedia:
Man vs. Wild shows Grylls purposefully demonstrating more
extreme methods of survival in harsh conditions. The program has seen
him eating raw meat and live fish, staving off hypothermia after intentionally jumping in a frozen lake, and drinking the fluids of elephant feces for hydration.
While Grylls does travel with a two-man camera crew, "they're under
very strict instructions not to get involved or help" unless he is in a
fatal situation.
What's a leap of faith to you? Have you ever taken one?
I think so. My leap of faith involved investing what was basically my life savings in a stock with a questionable (at best) future. It worked out, but it was at least 70% luck. It could have most definitely gone either way.
Yeah, after looking at it on IMDB, I'd have to agree.Could we have the start of a Friends (Seinfeld-esque) curse?... read more
